Oh God Ron! Didnt someone tell you the two things that should never touch an engine are vise-grips and channel locks???

The inhumanity! :P

?????? : My tool box: Hammer, vise-grip, adjustable wrench. :P

With my tool box, I can wreck anything!

Honestly, I got so frustrated, I was was prepared to drill the darn plug out!
With something like a spark-plug that needs to be accessed regularly, it should be designed to be removed with standard tools.
There's no reason they could not have made the retainer ring just slightly bigger to allow a standardard socket to fit.

But you get the plug wrench with every engine so whoever sold you that one should have given you the wrench too. When I bought my ZDZ60 from Randy he told me never loose that wrench or else I will regret it!

By the way you forgot one important piece of equipment in your tool box... 10 pound sledge! When nothing else will do...

The guy I bought it from gave me lots of spare parts, even a complete new replacement carb.
But no plug wrench.

Hey, thanks Mike!
I'd really appreciate that!

Everything is working well, but due to my learning curve, I've flooded the engine a few times, and it would be nice to be able to get the plug out!

Maybe we could meet up this week?

Ron

That would be perfect!
Give me a call at 905-928-4756 when you are on your way, and I'll give you directions.

Thanks again!

And thanks everyone else for the help, and thanks Dennis for the kind offer!

Ron
