It's a Quadra, It was one of the few Gas burners from the Late 70's early 80's

Yep, a quadra probably manufactured in Ontario 70's -80's . The muffler may be stock or
made by Tatone Products ..........

Re: Anybody know what this engine is???

Hi 72:

If it is indeed a Quadra, B&B Specialties in the U.S. should be able to help you out regarding parts that you may need. I have dealt with them in the past and was always pleased with the service.

Re: Anybody know what this engine is???

I think that it might be larger than a 26.
The smallest quadra I have seen is a 35.
They also made a 42 and a 50 and some other sizes too.

Re: Anybody know what this engine is???

it could also be a quadra 42 as the 35's and 42's look almost identical from the outside.

Re: Anybody know what this engine is???

Ya Ramz, you are right they do, I'll have to put the 2 of mine side by side and take a look.
as far as a mag goes, stop in at your local small engine repair shop and show them the engine, I know one off a Ryobi is the same as is a lot of chainsaw engines
