Engine Mount Vibrations

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
The research I did didn't talk about wood mounts at all, but I am sure somewhere on the internet someone reviews them. It seems to me that a lot of attention is being put in the way of engine mounts these days. I think that this topic is one that could support a lot of discussion in this forum.

Has anyone else experienced loses from vibrations... Mufflers falling off, radio equipment being damaged, etc?

Usually those mufflers break when the steel rod inside is tightened to much and when it gets hot the aluminum expands more than the steel and breaks the rod. So don't overtighten, the locknut will keep it from getting loose and it shouldn't break again.
