Looks fairly easy to fab up. Anyone put one in an airplane using this diagram?

Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

Hello again,
Got back from the annual trip to Toledo Yesterday. Went in search of a alternating flasher unit for the landing lights and found just what I was looking for. Checked out the ED system but was too pricey at $225. Not going to install wing tip marker and strobe lights, just wanted alternating landing lights.checked out the RAM booth and bought a flasher unit for railroad crossing flashing lights for $24.95. It looks like a Y harness and flashes at the rate I wanted it to.
( see attached pic)i have it hooked up to a 4.8 NIMHD 2300 mah pack and turns on when I lower the flaps.
The unit from Ram is a err-117 PLA. For my set up, I replaced the connectors with JR female connectors. I am using CREE LED'S and they are so bright they almost hurt your eyes to look at them. Can't wait to see how they look on my first flight. For info on this unit, go to WWW.RAMRCandRAMTrack.com.

Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

Hi all,
Took the beaver to the field yesterday to run the engine for the first time. After opening the needle valves about 1/8 turn had the engine purring. Started to do a taxi test and the engine started picking up speed so shut it down. Brought it back and tied it down and restarted the engine. Tried to lower the trim with no success. Brought it home and found the problem. I had mounted the throttle servo with 2 sided sticky tape. Big mistake. Sticky tape had let go.
Remounted servo using servo mount and spruce rails glued inside engine box.
Will try it again when we get another nice day.
