Is there a way to reverse the rotation of gas engines, ie if it rotates clockwise can it be run counterclockwise. What do you do with the timing , and the points etc. Thanks

Ted,
Yes you can reverse the rotation but it will take some major surgury or go completely electronic. With the magneto/coil setup which is fixed if you check the timing it will be before top dead centre. Up to about 30deg but usually for weedies maybe 10deg. To convert you will have to move the coil quite aways and you will find there is no mounts close. With electronic you can move the magnet. Also check your port timings but I don't think they will be a problem.

Ted,
Wanting to reverse the rotation makes me think you are looking at a large twin. What engine make do you want to reverse? If you have a pic I may be able to help.
