What is the difference between a 2/3 prop on a 250 quad. And please don't say
one more blade. Lol
Is it stability ?

Re: 3 prop vs 2 prop

Hi.

I have used both on large and small multirotors . The 3 blade props tend to be a lot noisier with a high tune pitch . Since I don't have a thrust gauge set up I can't tell you if they produce more thrust or not . Under descent they do tend to float more than 2 bladders .

Re: 3 prop vs 2 prop

yeah if you have limited space on a 220 or 250 miniquad, they might be something to try. But with HQ 5x4 and also the stubby 5x4 we get plenty of options for added thrust in tight quarters.

I tried gemfan 3 bladers and they broke while flying, not even crashing, LOL

but also .. if you are flying miniquad, consider the unbreakable props. They are not as efficient or thrusty a HQ, but think of the savings and headaches with broken props.

Gemfan 2 blades break too. I had one burst when doing a flip yesterday. Nothing more frustrating.
