Well I got to meet Kev-o today and I gotta say he is a good guy. I know I am a bit stuck on having a jet that looks awesome as well as flys great. Kev after thinking about what you told me during our meet I agree with you 100%!!!! I am just gonna pick up some type of boomer possibly a Elan or the one you were talking about. If you could get me some pictures and a price that would be awesome too. I gotta thank all of you who have tried to steer me in the right direction even tho I was soo stuck on getting something that looks badass but would never land at my field. Kev I am glad we met today and I got to see Glens Falcon... it convinced me to get something easy to fly, learn proper operation of the turbine and just burn as much Kero as humanly possible!!!!!!! This will prepair me for my next step into a high performace sport jet, fighter or whatever that may be.

Cheers,

Jason

Re: PepperPete finally convinced me!!!!

They are all great flyers. One of the choices is clearly engine size. You have a choice of smaller 12 - 17lb turbines for the Sprint and then youget up into the larger engines for the other Boomer versions. The Sprint is a great starter jet. Flys well off of grass and is easy to maintain. The Elan is in my opinion, the sportier of the fleet and fits in the middle of the pack. You can power it well from engines of 22 lbs and up to 30 lbs. Beyond that I am not sure how well the airframe will hld up over time. The XL is a very nice flyng bird - big and graceful in the air but can be thrown around quite well. All will be excellent off of short grass runways. It all comes down to the size of the airframe and subsequent engine choice.

Cheers

They're all good, it depends on what engine you have and what your field that you will fly from is like, they're all different.
