DX8 Timer question

I did a search on here, as well as googled, as well as read over the instruction manual, but didn't quite find what I wanted.
Perhaps someone here can tell me what I need to know.

The countdown timer, my dx6i had a beep every 1 minute as the countdown timer counted down. For the dx8, I only get the beeps at the remaining 10 seconds and the final beep as the timer ends, but at every 1 minute, I heard nothing. Is there anywhere I can turn this feature on, or does the dx8 not have that feature?
Also the trims, I hear the beep everytime I adjust the trim levels, but the centering beep is hard to differentiate. Is this normal for the dx8?

Thanks.

Re: DX8 Timer question

I checked my DX8 and couldn't find any thing to change for the countdown beeps every minute. As for the trims, the sound is different when you hit center, just have to listen closely

Re: DX8 Timer question

Yeah it is different, but I was comparing it to the dx6i, which has a longer beep when centered. The dx8 does have a different sound, but it's very similar to the other beeps, it's hard to hear it. Just wondering if theres a way of changing that via update of firmware or something.

Re: DX8 Timer question

I'm pretty sure the dx8 is the same as the dx7s which I have as far as the timer goes. There is only one warning beep when you have one minute of flight time left, then the 10 seconds at countdown to the end. No way to change this as far as I know.

Re: DX8 Timer question

Yeah but considering all my helis are dsm, it wouldn't make any sense to buy something to solve one problem, and then be stuck with other problems.

Re: DX8 Timer question

Hi
I am just curious, what do you find offensive about the beep? I have 2 DX6i's and that is the last thing that I would think of..

Re: DX8 Timer question

I don't find it offensive, I am saying I want the beep.

Re: DX8 Timer question

I think you'll want to wait for the V1.02 software, it'll give you better functionality on the timer configuration.
