Cut off 3/4" on the backside as it was hitting the instrument panel. Installed 1/4" ply triangles for the back plywood of the box to attach to as I have to have access to the engine standoff bolts. Took about 2 hrs to fit and install the dash. The gas tank will be protruding into the cockpit but will be able to see how much fuel is in the tank. Made up an A123 battery for the ignition yesterday. Also cut off the front portion of the engine box as it was not serving any purpose. Going to the Aurora swap meet tomorrow.
Here's a few more pics.

Once you install the DLE 35 you will not be able to access the mixture screws on the carb. I used a large fuel dot and cut the back off. Mounted it in line with the screws and all I do now is remove the dot and I can get a small screw driver in when adjustments are required. The installation is just behind the cowl on the left side. Drilled a 1/2 inch hole through the outside and then through the engine box. Works well.

Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

Hi John,
I saw pics on a previous post of the fuel dot. I made a 1/8th inch hole just behind the cowl and in line with the needle valves. The hole on the inner wall is a little wider so I can access both needle valves. Once the carb is set up, it shouldn't need to be adjusted very often.

Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

A few more updates. Got the throttle servo mounted inside the engine box.
Throttle is hooked up on the opposite side from the arm. Glued box in place.
Mounted the engine and siliconed the radial in the cowl. Cut the bottom cylinder out for cooling. Changed the 45 degree spark plug cap for a 90 degree cap and installed the ignition module. Put a T fitting in the fuel line for the fuel dot fill line.
Installed another servo in the fuse with a micro switch to turn the landing lights on when I put the flaps down. Will use a Y harness on one of the flap channels to operate the servo. A few pics of the progress.

Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

Best LED light set for this Beaver is right here: http://www.electrodynam.com/store/ED...9-Beaver.shtml

I bought one, installed it, and it is absolutely amazing! Pricey, but worth every penny. There are other options, but this kit is complete and works well. I set my light controller on a flap channel: zero flaps = nav lights/beacons only; 1/2 flap adds white wingtip strobes; full flap adds alternating landing lights. It really adds to the overall impressiveness of this Beaver. Tha, and a scaled out cockpit... :0

Re: 30CC Hanger 9 Beaver

In regards to your landing lights........http://www.mrollins.com/flash3.html
maybe this would work, or could be adapted to work with a different power source?

16V AC? I hope you have a long enough power cord to be able to fly around.
