Hi all
i just bought a duratrax ice charger what are you guys using in the field to power this charger ? Will a gel cell work 12 v 7.5 ah .

Manual says i need about 12 .5 amps thanks Morse

If you are charging rc car or truck batteries, you usually charge at a high rate. That gel cell won't last much more than 1 pack. Use your car, or if that's not possible, look into getting a deep cycle battery. (marine or RV use from Canadian Tire) They aren't cheap, but will last a day of racing, then trickle charge it at home later. Daren
