Jim, or do you prefer Scaleguy

Thanks for the link. I can understand you not wanting to rewrite. Thanks for sharing your extensive collection! Thanks to the internet, we can all beg and Scaleguy can deliver!

On a side note, I bought a RCM last night. I've read on here that it's all ARF's. I didn't beleive until I opened it up. There is a plan in the centre, and the rest is all ads for arfs! What a waste of time. I enjoy the old style, where they would do a story on some guy's scratch built beauty, with a story about why and how he chose to model it!

When you mentioned that mags used to print pages of 3-views, I thought for a few seconds about that, and I don't think I've seen more than a few in 10 years (or is it more now) since I fell in love with the hobby. And none of them were near as detailed as the ones you post!

thanks for sharing your collection

Mike

DHC-2 C-FMPM

Hi Modelbuilder.

I was very interested in your pics of Beaver C-FMPM. I maintained this aircraft for the RCMP during the years 1962-66 at Winnipeg. It was later replaced with an Otter and sold to a commercial operator. I have often wondered what happened to it and would be interested to know where it is operated now and by whom. I would also be interested in where and by whom it was being operated in your 1980 pic.

I have many fond memories of flying all over Manitoba and northwestern Ontario in old serial # 62.

Hello Waco Driver,

All I know bout this Beaver is from the site on the link below. I hope this will help out. I like the RCMP colour scheme. It models well.

I had originally found a print by Glen Scrimshaw (Lonely Lake) that featured this aircraft.
Does anyone have any pics of this plane. I am starting to get desperate as I am just putting on the base grey coat and still have no detailed views showing panel lines and such.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Won't help with the colours, but there are still a couple of companies doing turbo conversions on both Beavers and Otters.

And if you've got a few hundred grand lying around, take a gander at this sales brochure:
