It's good entertainment, not quite on the level of some previous war movies. One has to remember the US did not single-handedly win the war.

Re: Master's of the Air. Great mini series about the war

Wife and I have watched the first two episodes and awaiting #3. Have to say, as a history buff and knowing both the material and machines, this looks first rate. The CGI is almost impossible to pick out for anything but the air battles and only hardware fault I could see was when showing the bomber or navigator moving to the nose compartment by sliding below the cockpit, making it appear 6' deep.

There are scenes where any fakery should have been glaringly obvious, such as in #1 when walking around a battle damaged bomber and upon the port wing. The sounds and visuals are bang on.

Oh, one little nitpick: I have NEVER seen any radial start that quickly!

I had low expectations and thought I would find many faults but I was pleasantly surprised that I quite enjoyed episodes 1 to 3.

MAR did the special effects of flak shrapnel ripping through the fuselage very well I thought.

Clearly you’re not watching it as that hasn’t been anywhere close to the theme. Its a story of the American bomb group, not the RAF and Bomber Harris’s tactics.

Its a story of the early American attempt to NOT indiscriminately flatten entire cities.
Debate about which was better, more ethical, goes on to this day.

What isn’t debated is that the world would have been a very different place without American involvement….

….. so your comment just seems like more unnecessary anti-American sentiment.
