If you are flying a QQ 102" Yak Gen IV you probably are like me.... I just love it!

The thing with this state of art is that the canopy support is very weak and you may want to re-enforce and re-glue all the wooden supports as well as the light plywood sheet underneath the clear and the other one under the blue paint.

I have heard of several people loosing their canopy in flight and keep in mind that this airplane is no longer in production and it is going to be almost impossible to replace it if something happens to your canopy.

During the warm and sunny days out in the field I would strongly recommend you to cover it with a towel or something while on the ground, believe it or not the blue part against the cowl. SHRINKS!!!! BADLY!!!!!
I saw it at the Joe Nall, couple of canopies shronk after being in the sun. It seems that the plastic is very thin and doesn't like the heat.

The last but not the least, the canopy for the QQ 101" YAK 54 fits the GEN IV except that is yellow instead of blue but a quick paint job can easily take care of that.

I think Cheif Aircraft still have a few 101" in stock. They no longer have the one for the GEN IV.
