help with electric plane needed

Hey guys

I bought a sig cloud ranger that came with a Speed 400 motor and gearbox all brand new what else is needed to make this work? New to the hobby have a bit of experience on and around the glow setups but help is needed here as I am totally ignorant to the electric world.

You need the ESC (electronic speed control) to power the motor, batteries, servos for the ailerons, elevators, and rudder, and your radio gear.

Depending on whether or not the motor is brushed or brushless, you'll need an ESC that will handle the motor. You also need to make sure the ESC can handle the power output needed to fly your model with that motor.

Next, you'll need to choose what type of batteries you'll be using. These will be either NiMh, or LiPo, and you'll need a charger to charge whichever type you get. They're very different and need a specific type of charge. You'll also have to make sure your batteries have enough power and discharge capability to power your system.

I know it's a lot to take in. If you post some specs on the plane you got, we can narrow down what you need to get it flying!

awesome info once I recieve it I will post all the specs of what I got as I bought it from someone away. I will then have a better idea as I can list model numbers of the motor and gearbox
