Hi guys,

I know this is a bit of a long shot but you never know till you try! ...

I'm looking for a set of wings for a Skyward 60 trainer. I damaged the model about 15 years ago and its been sitting in storage since then. Now, I would like to get back into flying after a long hiatus from model aircraft and wanted to get this trainer flying again. I could fix the wing but getting another set may be the better option.

Finally, this is my first posting so hopefully I've provided you with all the necessary info?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: Skyward 60 wings

Curt,

Looks fine! Should be no problem recovering.

I'm not sure what they used for covering? While stripping down the wing to reveal all the damage on my model, I noticed the covering is quite sticky. More so than other coverings I've used such as MonoKote. Any idea as to what they used?

Gord.

Yeah, it's a sticky back covering, not sure what it is. I was simply going to add a red band over that area and a matching one on the other wing panel rather than trying to match up the white. But if that didn't work, I would have took all the covering off the wings and replaced it with Ultracoat.

I had a SFM Eindecker E1 that had the same covering on it.....just not sure what it is...maybe Oracover or similar.

Re: Skyward 60 wings

Hi Curt,

Well the kit arrived earlier this morning (ahead of the scheduled arrival date) and everything looks fine! Well packaged and no damage.

This will allow me to get this trainer back flying again after many years of sitting and collecting dust.

Thanks again for all your help, take care and happy flying.

Gord.
