Re: H9 Sukhoi SU-26MM SE (85cc)

Wow!!!! That is some sharp!!!

Question.. Any ideas why the carb is angled upwards in relation to the crankcase??? Also, what is the black, single bolt for on the front of the crankcase, opposite to the ignition sensor??

Thanks!

The black bolt is access for lubricating the front bearing. This is to be done after the first 10 hours of running and then every 3 hours of running after that. The angle of the carb is beyond my knowledge.

Re: H9 Sukhoi SU-26MM SE (85cc)

Not yet. Work has kept me from finishing my Slick 540 which has kept me from getting to the Sukhoi. I should get to it this weekend.

I finally installed the engine on the Sukhoi. As we suspected the ball link header does not bend enough to reach the pipe without flex tube or something like that. It also appears as though Pe sent me a header with the wrong sized flange. See pictures. Now that the engine is mounted I will take some accurate measurements (like I should have done in the beginning) and order a swan neck header from Pe. Hopefully he and I can work something out with the ball link header as we both seemed to mess up with that. Regardless I will get the rest of the items I need and get the Sukhoi finished so when the correct header arrives I will have everything else ready to go.

Oh well. I will get the correct header and move on. It is not like it is flying season yet anyway. I will see if he will take the ball link header back. He and I both messed up on that. He seems reasonable. If not I will just have to buy an MVVS Prosport 58 and a plane for the ball header,
