CNC FOAM CUTTER AND VACUUM BAGGING SYSTEM

I used this system to develop and produce UAV components as well as personal projects. Both interests have run their course and the system is for sale.

The CNC cutter is the second of 2 machines built by Greg Nuspel. The first is still in use by MIT in their aerospace lab.

CNC FOAM CUTTER SYSTEM cuts foam parts up to 54” long, 24” wide and 15” high using Gilles Muller GMFC software, Hobby CNC 4 axis controller and Vexta stepper motors. Components are CNC machined aluminum, delrin, and steel. Aluminum base is 36” x 65” x 37 “ high and disassembles for transport. 3 table bases and 2 wire bows are included for different project sizes.

The software is a computer specific licenced copy of GMFC PRO installed on a PIII 400 Toughbook laptop. If you supply your own computer you must download GMFC PE (Private Edition) for free or buy the GMFC PRO licence for 150 Euros($200). Any clunker PC with 95, 98, 2000 or XP works.

CNC VACUUM BAGGING SYSTEM utilizes the base of the CNC cutter table for all operations to maintain perfect alignment of the finished part throughout fabrication. The vac system can also be used stand alone for other operations such as pulling canopies, composite fuselage and hollow composite wing fabrication.

Vac system consists of a 110V Gast vacuum pump, propane tank as vac reservoir, Aero Composites vacuum regulator switch, expandable autoclave with electric oil filled heater, connections, bag seals, sleeves and some bulk mylar and other supplies. Included is Phil Barnes DVD step by step instructons for vacuum bagging foam wings.
