I'm planning ahead to my winter build, and i want to do an evil experiment with a Sig Kobra body (the .25 sized one) and a sheeted foam wing as an electric conversion with a big Hacker or Axi in it, or maybe a Power 32. The thing is the Kobra has the lines I like for looks, but it is a heavy little guy. With a sheeted wing it could lose some weight - so anybody know where I can order a custom foam wing?

Yep, no doubt, but it will come from the net - and the net is everywhere mon. Seriously though, only Partech who posts on here lives within 200 miles of me.

Sounds like your ready to spend big bucks for something relatively simple, done by hundreds of guys across Canada.

I had a site bookmarked a few years ago where they only wanted like 20 bucks. But they are no longer there.

How about this, , , look up the various clubs in BC, go to the website of the nearest club and send an email to the pres. Odds are good that someone might help you out for free.
I do it all the time for guys here in Toronto.

There's guys here in Toronto that have CNC type rigs, but they all charge, and the shipping might be a bit much.
One guy that comes to mind is www.ModelsByJohn.com

Very good point. I would like to do some checking into that anyway so that I can find out which clubs let visitors fly. Thanks! BTW, I did some digging and did find one place: http://www.eurekaaircraft.com/foamwings/wing-k.htm but: it is in America so the shipping will kill.

Sorry, but I don't think you will lose any weight with a sheeted wing on this one. If
anything, you will probably gain. I agree, the wing wasn't a fun build on this plane. I
would look for something with less wing loading

Really? I thought the sheeted wings were supposed to be lighter. I still would like to try it though, and the high wing loading isn't so bad where I live. To give you an idea, they are in the process of putting in two giant wind farms......

You may be able to remain constant in weight using spray adhesive such as 3M 77 or
Elmers contact. I don't think it will be less.....
