I am glad to hear that. Now I'll stop fussing about needing a tail ski for my Piper Cub. I plan on using the main skis I made for my LT-40 2 years ago.

I survived my first winter of serious snow flying with skis just on the main gear...I've never seen commercial tailskis available. I'm not sure the extra weight that far back would be good for the cg....

i fly a 8 ft cub and a 6ft beaver on skis and never had any problems not using a tail ski .i also live in the north where there is plenty of the white stuff.

If one did decide to make a ski for the tail, it wouldn't have to be very large at all and I doubt any that I have used, weighed any more than a regular tail wheel!

On my 1/4 scale Cub, the ski was only about 3/4" wide and 2" long made from light ply and a layer or two of thin CA on the bottom. Not any more weight than a 1" or 1 1/4" tail wheel I would think!

I bought these auesome ski's of e-bay they work great they have the tail ski as well doesn't make a differance at all for CG.I would reccommend these to anyone.He has alot of them i guess... he posts every week for a new set.

Thanks all, I think my order shipped including the tail ski. It's only $11.00 so no biggie I guess. Our snow tends to be very heavy, so I thought that tail-whele would sink in and want to stay there. I'll let you all know how it works out.
