Can a gyro work upside down?

I have a Futaba GY401 gyro with limited mounting space, my question is can this gyro work properly if mounted upside down? I see 3D flyers whipping all over the place in a helter skelter makes no sense to me flying form, so I don't think you can tell whether the gyro works flawlessly like you would need with scale flying. Because I only fly scale would the gyro work for me mounted upside down? Thanks in advance

Re: Can a gyro work upside down?

Works fine upside down. Just have to set servo drive and sense correctly. It will be reversed compared to upright mounting.

Re: Can a gyro work upside down?

Gyros still work fine when you fly inverted.

I just noticed the text below my name

"Posts like a .15ci"

So basically I am loud, annoying and no one wants me at their club ...... sounds pretty accurate.

Maybe you point out flaws in others that they don't like.
