What temp plugs are people running and what percentage nitro, and what operating temps are you seeing? I realize this is general info and varies from motor to motor etc. I'm just trying to get an idea of what seems to be working best in a general sense for most people.

Also are you changing head shims when you switch nitro content?

I'm running an OS30VG with and 0S#8 plug and 20% nitro. but I'm thinking about experimenting a bit.

best temp would be 220 - 240 most for big blocks. if you go higher nitro you will most liklay need to shim the head. and with higher nitro you will need a milder plug. i hop this help you out. im sure there is more people out there with more info on this

I run an Axial 28 on 30% using an OS R5 plug. Temps around 220-230 and runs like a champ. I'm very happy with this setup as it makes more than enough power. Haven't touched the head shims.

Most Big Blocks will Run on 30% Nitro out of the Box........At most you may need to Drop down to a Cooler plug......
(I've ran All my Engines on 30% Nitro and have Never had to Add any Shims....and have Got 10+ Gallons on my last 5 Engines using the Heat Cycle Method for Break-in...)
