I think Ward has a bad taste in his mouth about flying in Canada. CAN'T understand why? :

Hope he can make it though.

C'mon over Ward.

I just thought Ward might have better luck at a different field Jim and then we could ease him back to your contest next year.

Don't know if Sotomayer has another bird to fly. Would be good to see any of them come back north (or east)

Mike,

No one from out East showed for Flying Tigers event.

I guess they are spoiled with three events in Ottawa this year.

We will remember this.

No one showed for NOIC either. Makes me want to boycott the NATS.. I guess us evil westerners don't warrant the courtesy of attending our events. First time in history that Toronto has been considered as a westerner.

Its easy to snipe from the sidelines , ..How many events have you attended this year? or last ? Sometimes work and family have to take priority...
If we are to make the most of the fellowship and fun that the IMAC circuit allows ,we all need to understand this and not point fingers at those who participate at the level that their circumstances allow.
It isn't a conspiracy to alienate one region or another, unfortunately sometimes life gets in the way.

Re: StoneyCreek Imac Sept08th,09th

We can't afford to alienate anyone in this hobby. If people don't want to show up it's their prerogative. I couldn't attend anything in June or July either, but summer is like that with lots going on and only so many free weekends. Ottawa deserves a lot of credit for hosting three events this summer and I am really glad I can attend at least one of them especially the Nats...woohoo

Dave,

Don't go there. Some personal issues since mid 2010 excluded me from competing, by choice but I attendend almost every single SA Event in Ontario , for ballance of 2010 and 2011 in capacity of Judging or helping out
as well. I even travelled 8 hours to help Judge at the 2011 NATS in Quebec and still paid the event fees even though I did not compete.

I can appreciate that some may have other commitments but ZERO participation from anyone in the East is a little disconcerning.

That beeing said I will be at the NATS for SAT/SUN hopefully competing but at the least be available to help out.

Sorry guys crappy week at work but a little disconcerning at the low numbers everywhere this year.
