Hi I have a parkzone archer and i am having a issue with it which i cant seem to figure out perhaps the experts here can shine some light

The motor does not produce the final initialization beep and does not spin. If i remove the motor and esc and test it separately they work i have tested the servos the receiver re bound the receiver but still no luck what else could it be?

Re: esc motor initialization issue

Will need some more info to narrow this down.

Are you getting the cell count beep?

What radio system? Futaba requires you set the throttle channel to REVERSE. You also may have to modify your throttle channel end points. Some don't like 100%.

When you state you test each separately, do you mean with other components, or simply outside the craft with a different radio?

Re: esc motor initialization issue

Hello Bill I had a similar problem and I had bound it to a nitro plane setting in which I had the low throttle set to 75% for a good idle thus the electric needs to be set at 100% low to initialize . So 100% low throttle ,full down trim and throttle normal or reverse set correct . John

Re: esc motor initialization issue

Hi Cougar

I am not getting the cell beep i dont believe i ever did its a small 10amp eflite esc and does those typical eflite beeps but the final beep never happens.

I am using spektrum and i have all the trims to neutral/normal positions it worked fine for a while and this one time i plugged it in gave it some throttle to taxi and the throttle just got stuck my transmitter inputs on throttle wouldnt work luckily it was slow enough where i just used rudder to keep turning it in a circle until i could run over and pick it up lol that was a funny site

Ever since though it wont initialize i took it to lhs they had this tester tool thingy majiger and it worked fine there so i brought it back i tried a different battery a different receiver but the darn thing wont initialize

Re: esc motor initialization issue

From what you described and the problem afterward I'm wondering if yours may be from the transmitter end and not in the AC. Are you able to power up the receiver with a servo plugged into the throttle channel? That way you can see if there is a response. The output is identical to any other receiver channel so should give you servo movement for stick throw.

Which Spektrum Tx? Asking as I have personally seen and read of problems with the 7. Strongly suspect a lot are due to the range button on the back, IMO vulnerable to moisture and possibly other issues with the switch itself. Have also read of broken trims.

Re: esc motor initialization issue

Be curious to hear the results. Also, double check that channel direction. Don't believe that one requires REV direction for throttle channel.

Some of the newer systems have assignable channel outputs. We used to do that by PC programming the receivers, (Berg) but that is now available within the Tx menu. Wonder if yours has that and the throttle output is no longer on the correct output.
