You guys interested in doing another BBQ in the near future out here? Weather is getting warmer, maybe start one a little earlier in the afternoon and we can run new engines, taxi test new jets, stuff like that, just thought I'd put it out there, last BBQ was a good time, be fun to have another one!

Re: Another BC jet guys BBQ???

Spoke with Jeremy today and the BBQ will be on the 28th in the Lunchroom at my work address. For those of you who did not attend last time please e-mail or PM me for a map address to the site.

Note that we have lots of space to fly foamies and also run up jets and even do taxi tests which I plan to do with my Scorpion. BRING HARDWARE!!!!

While we are having the BBQ, we will plan a date for a run up to Princeton.

CheerZ,

Thumbs up Re: Another BC jet guys BBQ???

Anyone out there looking for a loaded baby boomer for decent $ it's on RC Universe now, and would be a good first jet for someone considering Princeton Spring warm up rally.
It's found on 2nd pg of turbine jet section @$3200.00. I believe the gentleman is including the JR 10X. Sweet deal.

Re: Another BC jet guys BBQ???

Would love to attend as I missed the first BBQ due to surgery. But headed out a couple of days before your date to try and get to Calif Jets 2009. Going to stop off in Sacramento, CA first to visit kids and will see how I feel to travel further south. My strength is slowly coming back and I have been doing more and more each week. I just think it is time to head south and get some sun instead of all this snow and cold. Enjoy.

Well, it's I guess an ok deal, but $3200 works out to roughly $4100 Canadian, plus shipping which into Canada will probably cost around $400 to $500 or more into Canada, if it ships UPS you can add another $80 in brokerage fees.

For that you get a crashed and rebuilt Baby Boomerang, a 12 hr 4 year old P70, Hitec servo's, a 72mhz 10X, and the cheap Robart air up spring down gear. That's a lot of coin for that jet really, by the time you get it into Canada with shipping and taxes you're pushing 5K. There's been a lot of RTF jets sell in Canada for around that price lately.

Just my 2 cents though.

Hey Roy,

Glad to here that you're well on the road with your recovery. Have a fun and safe trip south. If I had the choice, I'd be going with you looking for the sun rather than putting up with the cold. See you at the end of May.

Steve

Ummm,,, ummm,,, I guess it involves the cold,,, and the snow. I suspect that a solid "touche" is in order here. I'll find out soon. I'm heading to Sun Peaks for a week on Monday. Unfortunately, Julie found out that there were still a couple of pennies left in my jet fund

Steveo,

Be a man... tell her you need a new turbine instead of a ski trip.
