Extreme Flight Extra 300 60"

I picked up a 60" Extra 300 at the Trout farm flyers fun fly. Just finished it up and maidened. Two clicks of up elevator and flys like it's on rails. It's rock solid on harriers. The only thing it does that I don't like is when I pull up hard it pulls to the right. I'm sure some trim or mix I can get it beat. At only two flights under my belt I'm liking it.

Re: Extreme Flight Extra 300 60"

I have the 57" PA Katana and the 57" 3DHS Extra 330SC and they are great planes and a nice size. Crazy power to weight , I have Hackers on 6s in both.

Re: Extreme Flight Extra 300 60"

Cool Dennis my PA runs the thrust 50. I went a little different route with the extra, I'm running a turnigy sk3 4055 500kv motor a yep 80 amp ESC, yep 20amp bec and digital servos. I run 6s 3000mah batteries the plane is lighter than they call for so I will move to a bigger battery. But the way it's set up it runs 57amps at 1300watts of power with a 15x8 prop. It's crazy for power and light.

Re: Extreme Flight Extra 300 60"

It sounds like are power setups are basically identical. I have Hacker A40-10LV2 500kv on 6s spinning an APC 15-8 on both planes. One has a Hacker esc and the other has a Hobbywing 100 V3. I also have the 3DHS 87" Scott Stoops Extra with a 60cc and I like flying the 57" electrics better. The gasser fly's great but these fly great also and are so easy to go make some flights on.

Re: Extreme Flight Extra 300 60"

Yes that's why I like mine also, can always have one with me. No gas smell in the car, after work if I want I can fly almost anywhere. I have an Aeroworks Yak-54 also but its a little heavier and takes more runway to land but it fast (really fast) when needed.

Hi Ryan,

I have the same plane and I love it! Lots of fun. Is it pulling pulling to the right on the up line full throttle straight vertical?

Will

I had the same issue with mine with a Falcon 15x8, I added a couple of 1-1.5mm washers on the motor mount and increase the left thrust angle. Also I found on mine that on an upline by looking at the side of the fuse, it was pulling a bit toward the canopy so I increased the down thrust with a 1mm washer and now it's pretty close to hold the up lines straight.

Cheers,

Will
