As long as you got anything with wings you can compete in Basic.

You'll find that you are probably doing most of the manouvers already, individually. Now all you have to do is string them together.

Here is a helpfull hint....

Practice Straight and Level Flight. I'm not joking. Most guys in Basic, myself included, loose points for wobeling all over the sky between manouvers. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE... Straight & Level!

I practice something every flight. I alwasy make sure to do at least 2 cuban 8's and a couple of four points. I have trim problems with my plane on uplines but I don't think it's worth fixing on my current plane. I will have a 78" extra 260 in the spring. I'm trying to dial 8 points and upline snaps. I also realize these are not in basic but I want to be able to do every manouver. If I can do the hard ones well, everything else will fall itno place.

The 260 is an excellent choice.
What engine are you planning to use?

I'm planning on useing a Moki 2.10 and eventually high torq digital servos.
probably JR 8411's. Are there any sites with people flying sequences so I could see what evrything is supposed to look like?
