They are available from Airborne Models in Ca., but the shipping is a little expensive [$45.00] but its best to use USPS, not Fedx or UPS. I ordered the Scarlett Screamer. Don Stegall is doing a video on the Screamer this week on RCUniverse web. One of your LHS in Calgary could contact them and maybe order some. I have the Outrageous which I scratch built from a Dan Kane kit, nice plane and flies really well, its my favourite E F 1. Here is a couple pictures. Ken |

Looks very nice Ken, you must have a few EF1 in your stable. I have a few but just lost a Shoestring to a mid air with Randy, just replaced that with a Proud Bird and have a Dara kit ready to be built. These planes you have shown here look real good, I may have to try one once my stock gets a bit lighter.

I sold 3 at the London Swap meet, to guys who are getting into electric pylon. A Nemesis, Toni and a Dara kit. I picked up some Shoestring parts that where in poor condition, stripped all the covering off, fixing all the bad areas, sanded and recovering. Just changed the colour scheme. Here is my Shoestring that I have been flying for a couple of years. Ken |

Looks real nice and like new, I like the Shoestring probably best of the EF1 I have flown to date (Shoestring, Ms Lynn and Pogo), I have not flown the Dara or Proud Bird yet. I hope you can get the racing going in Orangeville and area. I used to live in Erin, and later in Oakville, and at the time no racing was going on (that I knew of). I often get back in the summer, since we have family in Kincardine and cottage on the Bruce Peninsula. If there is room I will bring an EF1 back with me, perhaps we can do a few laps. We are racing again today in our winter racing series which is Club 20 and EF1 flown in consecutive races, we will race 4 rounds today. Roy is CD for the winter series and does not let anyone slack off or whine about the weather. We have about 6" of snow today and will hand launch and belly land our planes. I will probably maiden fly the Proud Bird today, remove the gear, hand launch and belly land. |

I flew the Proud Bird for the 1st time yesterday, really liked how it flies, a couple clicks of elevator was all that was needed. Raced it and after 5 rounds had won all heats. Its a keeper. Kevin Last edited by kaptain; 12-03-2013 at 03:40 PM. |

That's great, the Proud Bird is very popular F1, one guys has one that flies with us. Lots of F1 ARF's available now, Hobby King has just put the Invictus on the market. Also Nitroplanes are discontinuing the Dara, they have it marked down to $120.00 bucks but the kits have some damage to the underside of the wing panels. Nitroplanes have had a lot of customers very unhappy with them, so they bail out. Just waiting for my Scarlett Screamer to arrive but have lots to keep me busy, as we are in for a bit of a winter storm in the next few days. Ken |
