and honestly, i wouldn't dare operate any r/c vehicle anywhere any time without some mechanical backup to prevent a nitro motor from running wild.

No real excuses from me right now, after finishing 3rd overall in the Sunday series in eBuggy. Just refreshing this thread to hear some of the recent horror stories!!! LOL...

It's not my place to talk about others misfortunes at today's race, but I have to say that I pitted for Calvin Mercer who was having a great run in nitro buggy, and broke a front CVD cleeeeear through! After closer inspection, it was discovered that the problem had been there for a while, and explained why his car was handlign like . Too bad it had to be at the final though!

I also pitted for Gump in the A-main, and he flamed at the start. I got him restarted quick enough, but it took him a while to claw his way back to 7th when he suddenly flamed out during a pit stop. His plug went bye-bye, and that was the end for him. That a-main nitro buggy race was certainly a battle of attrition. Henry, GONE... Gump, GONE... Steve Diplicedo, GONE... and on and on and on...
