Good morning Doug.
Sorry to put a damper on the country of origin labelling here on R/C Canada.
I actually think there are some real good engines out there from many sources.
Therefore in my books "Chint" referes more to "isshit", than any given nationality.
So as a token of my open mindedness. Any ZDZ engine that won't start is a piece of Chint!

We can expect an opinion very soon, as Jack may not like this.

Hmmmmmmm....that's including some darn good metal into the "isshit" category...not buying it Dale. If the good metal, heads to that category, usually the operator "isshit"

Got to look into those 4 cylinders Dale. You should sell some off...get some big metal!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I'm only looking to go as big as a ZDZ180 B2 RV-J. Or a 3W 170, might follow up on a semi local one.
4cyl are for my friends, close friends. Both south, and west. And north if he ever comes to fly with us.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I have a 170CS, fantastic running engine with tons of power. When you hit the throttle it is like shooting the plane out of a slingshot.

Darn I just realized I have to work 13 hours tonight.

Doug, I'm struggling. The Slick will likely weigh 44lbs. I have the 150L on pipes, but really thinking of a 170. Have you ever seen a 170CS-TS run? Worth the extra $$$$?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I have an online friend that owns both. I will send him an email. My guess is yes, if you look at the specs a regular TS 170 has more power than my CS version. The TSCS has about as much power as the 210.
