help with new setup
just finished my first GWS war bird and was setting up the electrics today.
The following are happening and I don't know why. First I pluged the ESC in to the battery and then the RX no problem( in to battery) then first servo pluged in it starts to jitter, 2nd servo pluged in it also jitters. I turned the radio on all stop but have no response to the sticks. turn radio off and the prop spins the servos move. What am I doing wrong Help Don |

What brand of tx/rx is it? How many channels? Which one is the ESC plugged into?It sounds like you may have the motor plugged into the wrong plug on the rx. The jittering is expected when the tx is not turned on but the rx is. Once the tx is turned on it has a signal to send to the servos, but if they are plugged into the wrong set of pins you might not be seeing movement on the expected channel.

ok make sure that the tx is on befor the battery is plugged in, make sure that the plarity on the servos match what it says on the RX. Im telling you plug it into channel 3, thats were all esc's plug into. Because the esc is acting as a throttle it must be in the throttle channel. make sure your TX and flight battery are charged fully. if you plugged the ESC (with battery attached into channel 1,2,or 4 then the RX might be blown, I have never had a problem but one guy I know did.

hyperrockets and others.
Acording to your account of plugging thinds together you managed to do EVERYTHING backwards. Plug your servos into there aproriate spots on the RX. Turn on your transmiter first. Then plug the flight battery into the ESC. When done the battery must be unplugged from the ESC then turn your transmiter off. Is there no club or hobby shop near you that can lend a helping hand? It serioulsy sounds as though you need someone to give you some guiding help. Getting the plug into its socket backwards should not be the end of the RX. Positve and negative poles are all bussed. And a negative wire on a signal post is no big deal. THough if you manage to get only two pins out of the three by missing one. THings could be bad. |
