Anyone heard of the Concorde Radio Controlled Model Club?

Anyone heard of the Concorde Rado Controlled Model Club in Concord, Ontario? I am assuming this is for flying since the Sign at the park had a jet image. I am also assuming it is not private since the land is public City owned. Also, I find no information on it, so might I guess it's no longer?

Anyway, just curious.

Where did you see the sign? As I'm in the area, I can drop by and give some more details.

Definitely not on the list for SE zone clubs.

The sign is right at the entrance to the reservoir (at least I think its a reservoir) on Duffering and north of Langstaff. Its the plot of land that is raised up, and theres a small forest on either side. Its as wide as a soccer field. When I went there, there were a large group of people playing cricket.

If it does exist it is not a MAAC sanctioned field nor club.

Dufferin and Langstaff?

There is a cricket club there. I'll check it out the next time that I'm in the area and verify if people are flying model aircraft there as well.

It may be a private club (nothing wrong with that) or it may be a couple people doing their own thing.

Of course, anything dealing with model airplanes has the potential to affect everyone else.

Anyone want to see if concordefan is hanging around and can comment?
