Tamjets F-16 info and setup

Hello all,

My buddy has a Tamjets F-16 powered by a PST J600R that is about ready to go. We are looking for as much info as possible on throws, CG bad habits etc. We modified it to have ailerons so aileron throws would be nice too. Thank you.

Re: Tamjets F-16 info and setup

Hey Chris,

Long time no see!

Which F-16, the Carmark or the all composite? (Hint: the Cermark version has ailerons...) Wayne Beasley and both have a TJ/Cermark version. I can get you my setup if you like, if that's the bird you're looking for. To start with, be prepared for the CG to be further back than quoted in the manual, by close to an inch if memory serves me right.

Kelly

Re: Tamjets F-16 info and setup

Hi Chris , I have a Tamjet F-16 with a P70 in it , the model flys very well but needs a lot of runway with the 70 newton engine . My model uses elevons and there is lots of control it is hard to tell that ailerons are not installed . I set up the model as per the instructions but be sure to have up elevator on the flying stab this is neutral ( about 5mm up above the imitation air brake at the very back). I suggest small aileron movement like 1/2 up and 1/2 down at the widest part of the aileron ( keep Your turns big and wide the jet tends to tuck in on tight turns) , if You would like I can tell You exactly where my cg is ? Good Luck Blair .
