Now with the new vaccinations most kids wont get it, but I myself would prefer if my kids got it now, and not when they are older. Anytime I hear of someone having it, I wish that I had my kids around it so that if they are going to get it, it would be now and not later in life. As adults it is a lot worse on the person.

I had them when I was a year old and it didn't affect me at all...so I was told...a little itchy and have a few scars now from it. My dad has never had it and he was around both my brother and I when we had it, and still didn't get it. I just hope that now as he is older he doesn't get it cause he would more then likely end up in the hospital.

Toronto just issued a Health Alert for Measles and are calling it an outbreak. But only 5 cases so far.

yes I have had a complete checkup and have been on the perscribed medication since early this morning.
In the meantime I'm going grocery shopping so I can sneeze on all the fruits and vegitables! :P:P:P:P:P

craftyette - my friends son had it when he was much younger and he scratched it so much and got infected to the point where he ended up with flesh eating disease!!!

Necrotizing fasciitis ("flesh-eating disease") in children, though extremely rare, can occur as a complication of infection entering through the chickenpox lesions."
