upgrades to 4star.60 maybe......maybe not?
well i received my 4*.60 in the mail today:] can't wait to get it up in the air, a member at my club who is a master builder is going to help me put it to togather its an arf but i have no experiance what so ever.My question is, should there have been any upgrades done to this plane as a arf before i put it all togather?has someone dealt with the 4*.60 before as an arf and just left everything as is or should their be upgrades to solve greif later on? thanks for your help!

There really isnt much to upgrade.......some modellers take a panel or two off the outer wing to make the model a little more responsive, but you could do that at any time in the future. There was an article on this procedure in RCM a couple of years ago........Id build it stock ,fly it and go from there........

Do a search here as there was a thread. Fodder, in our club, actually built an enclosed cowl. Looked great.
The only change to the 4-star series that I did was to change the balsa stringers on the rear deck with basswood and to use the Sullivan tail wheel assembly vs the stock one. Great flying planes. Bob

always flying...I should add I have a Saito .91 in it and it still needed a bit of nose weight. Great flying plane. Fairly aerobatic, although I can't get a flat spin on mine though, but it will knife edge. It is basically a low wing trainer that also flys slow and gentle.

On my 4*60, I added a better tail wheel, pull-pull rudder, dual elevaotr servo, front compartment hatch, 1" extra to the rudder and elevator halves. Powered by a YS .91FZ. The plane handles extra power very well.
