This makes Spektrum telemetry look silly. The files are actually saved in separate files for each time the logging starts instead of one big clump. You can easily pick out one flight to look at. They are tagged with the date taken and are in a folder on the card that is named with the model name. This is how telemetry should be done.

In the second picture you see the bar graphs. The Quality graph shows how well the Rx is hearing the Tx. The Strength graph shows how well the Tx is hearing the Telemetry Down-link from the Rx. The audio warning that you get on the radio is the down-link so it will tell you looooooong before you are in danger of losing control that you are getting near the edge of telemetry range.

The graph on the far right is total length of time during the logging in milliseconds that packets were being lost. 2000 would represent similar to a "Hold" in Spek-Speak. 170ms was the total for the flight.
AVG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Re: graupner/sj mz-24 2.4ghz hott 12 channel system

you read my mind Brodie...thinking of getting a Radian type rig for this winter, to play with the telemetry so as to be ready for next flying season.
Down the road, I'm thinking it's going to be great for my EDF fleet too...Will be able to track exactly when the Magic Blue Smoke happens!
the Fuel Qty and consumption sensor is what I'm really after though!

Programming is becoming second nature as I go through the fleet...loving the failsafe programming more than anything! So many great features to this radio!

This is funny stuff. Quote from the Spek rep.

"You need to locate the TM1000 antenna in an optimal position, and you may need to just live with the fact that you'll be out of range a lot.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=9685

With only one antenna to transmit telemetry, log files become less useful.

Well, actually David. I do not believe that the problem is that the telemetry is out of range as all battery, engine and gps data was recorded loud and clear. It seems the flight log data was not recorded accurately because I did not have it wired properly, hardly the fault of Spek.
