Servos are in

Only 2 steps left.

1) Program the servos to match each other because they will be on a "Y"

2) seal the hinge gaps

I guess there is a third step.... test fly LOL

The programing and hinge gap seal will be tomorrow night.

Re: Hitec 7950 servo testing, evaluation and experiences

Thanks for all the offers, guys! I'll be okay with the AR7000. I'm not really worried about it, as I've flown it in other large planes have never had so much as a hiccup with it.

I won't be ready as soon as Brad because I won't have the time unless I get it setup tomorrow night after work. I hope it goes well for you Brad!

Re: Hitec 7950 servo testing, evaluation and experiences

Done !!!!

Well 99.9 % done

Servos in each wing are programmed and matched to run off a "Y". The ailerons can travel their full range of motion without the servos fighting each other. The cool thing I didn't realize was setting the servos to center, I could bring all trims and sub trims in the transmitter to zero as well. Nice

So now its just waiting for the rain to stop and hope that I can now start flying this plane without reservation or worry. And at some speed once and a while LOL

Yes, this is definitely very cool! I've never done a setup with programmed servos and I have to say that it is so much easier to get it right when you know the servos are centered the same and have the same exact amount of throw!

Re: Hitec 7950 servo testing, evaluation and experiences

Probably not until Sunday. Can't get out to the field before then.

Re: Hitec 7950 servo testing, evaluation and experiences

Might be Sunday for me too. I still have to put my servos in and tidy up my Evo location. Hopefully I can get that done tonight and tomorrow night and get it in the air Sunday. At least the weather is supposed to be good here in Ottawa.
