First seen today on RCU;

Dear Webra Customer,

We are so sorry to announce you that our company
WEBRA Modellmotoren GmbH & Co. KG in A-2551 Enzesfeld, Eichengasse 9 - AUSTRIA
is in bankruptcy and cease to Thursday, December 23, 2010 its activities for model engines and electronics products.

The reason why this happens was the low cost products made in China which comes more and more for toys as for the real model building. Therefore found the market lower and lower interest in our high quality products.

By this way we will thank you for your good co-operation in past and we will wish you all the best and many business success in future.

Remain with

„Many happy landings“

Yours WEBRA-Team

Re: Sad news at WEBRA

The problem, in my opinion with companies such as Webra - is a lack of advertising, support and marketing.

Look at O.S., Saito, etc. They are very heavily marketed, available pretty much everywhere and as well as being great products. People buy what the see.

WHen was the last time you saw a Webra product in a hobby shop? Or even on line at a fair sized mail order shop?

Companies such as Enya, Webra, Irvine, and others who have excellent product but poor support & distribution will always do poorly.

That is so true, you don't see much webra anywhere.

Can you please explain? I've never seen anything like that. How big, 2 stroke, or 4. Equivalent power of what? Are they more or less powerful than the same size? Thanks Bill.

Re: Sad news at WEBRA

Hi Darren, it's a rotary valve, belt driven off the crank. They made a 40, 60 and the 80 shown above. Will run fine on either nitro or no nitro and 22% oil seems to work well.
Sorry Darren, 4 Stroke and equivelent to any other four stroke of the same size.
