Another winter build

I got bitten by the speed bug this year, wife's been travelling alot so I got a nice jump on this winter's build: Juno RC F20 Tigershark

The Jett 50's been ordered and will be here in about 4 weeks.

I hoping to hit 120mph with this puppy. Has spring air retracts installed.

In case it's not fast enough, i also ordered a Diamond Dust to throw together when I finish the F20

f20

Thanks guys,

The kit comes direct from Juno RC, it cost me $111 CAD landed.

Not sure what to do for an engine for the dust, I may just swap the Jett 50 back and forth for now.

Spring airs are the 102's,

The build's not hard, wing is typical, the fuse construction is a bit different but, it's not difficult. The turtle deck's a real PITA. It's built up using 1/16 balsa, one too many swipes of the sand paper when you're trying to round it and u blow right through it. I had to build it twice
It'd be much nicer if it was foam core.

I'll definately have to get up there this season Rob. We'll rip around the sky with the pseudo jets then get the big aerobats out and 3d it up.

What a great hobby!

Mike

Mike,

I like to be there when you get it out at the field, i have heard alot about Jett engines and i almost ordered Jett 90 for my upcoming new plane but found St90 gas converted instead. I also recommended Nick to get Jett 50 or OS 55 for his new pusher Bobcat from Nitroplanes.

F-20 Racing....

Mike & Rob,

You'll have to let me know when you're planning to do some F-20 flying, as I'd enjoy bringing mine up there to join in on the fun!! Please tell me you have a paved strip though!! lol

I haven't gotten a ton of flying in with it yet (darned small props, swept wings and retracts), but hopefully will have a little more luck with it this year and be able to wring it out a bit more!!

Since I don't have any big aerobatic planes, I'll just have to bring along a couple of my other propjets to fly!!

Steve

Hey Rob,

Glad to hear that the red F-20 is still in one piece!!

I haven't had the F-14 up as of yet, but I don't anticipate it being as fast or nibble as the F-20 or the Patriot. That said, I do think that it will look good and still be a fun flyer!!
