Track in Kitchener Waterloo?

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
I was looking for tracks in my area and came across a kijiji add requesting an RC track at McClellan Park. More specifically names to take to the city to present plans for an RC track

Add was from April 2010 and the contact info pulled so I can't email them directly.

anyone know anything about this?

Re: Track in Kitchener Waterloo?

Hi,

I drive past this track whenever I go to KW, it doesn't seem to be used, maybe you could start something there.

It is close to New Dundee - see the picture and PDF map in the first post of this thread:
https://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/showthread.php?t=107050

Hope this helps,

Wayne Miller

Re: Track in Kitchener Waterloo?

so I stopped by the house. Young fella, maybe 18-20 answers the door. Seemed kind of interested, but I couldn't tell. Certainly not open to the public, which is a shame cause it's a pretty good track from what I could see.

oh well. Gave him my name and number on the off chance he's interested in a race.

We need someone in the area with like 1/2 an acre to make a track!!!!

Re: Track in Kitchener Waterloo?

Old thread, but I thought I'd revive it with news of a track at Erbsville Kartway in Waterloo (Conservation Drive, East of Erbsville Road). I haven't been yet myself, but hope other people have and will share their experiences!

Re: Track in Kitchener Waterloo?

Regarding the track mentioned at the beginning of this thread - Post #3 with a link to thread with map and picture. I noticed last weekend there were quite a few people running their vehicles at the track, perhaps it is now welcoming more to participate - you may want to check it out. It looks like a good track.

Re: Track in Kitchener Waterloo?

Ah, yes, the Plattsville track. I've been informed of its existence, and given the contact information for it.

I just wanted to let others know that there's another option in KW. I really hope it's supported, only because it's so close to my place.

Re: Track in Kitchener Waterloo?

Wayne: That's Nate Fried's track in Plattsville. It was built when he was into RCs but doesn't have time for it now. It's a nicely laid out track complete with driver's stand (4-5 people comfortably). No power at the track. It's sand/soil so it gets dusty so bring your air compressor.

He was a group that shows up regularly. It's $10/visit or $150 for the season. Text him before you go and nothing larger than 1/8th as they'd eat the track to bits. I'll PM you Nate's cell #. No showing up until after 10am.

Re: Track in Kitchener Waterloo?

I've seen that track, my brother lives around the corner from there. I'll have to bring some trucks and knock to see if it's "open".
