ok..here's a question....I have a dl50 ready for break-in, and was wondering about using 100 LL avgas...any thoughts pro's cons...ideas...??

The higher octane would have it's own issues re shims and such but unless you're getting it for free, why would you want to?

premium gas is what, about 1.04/l now whereas 100ll is what, $1.53/l??

It's about $4/US gal so taking into account our (non)service stations rob us more than Americans (I added another 20% Canadian sucker tax after conversion) that's around 1.53/l CDN (hope I didn't mess up the math).

Seeing as you're asking, how much you paying for avgas?

for the small amount I was going to get, I was just going to sneek a gallon here and there when I rent the local flying club's float plane (Piper PA12/160)

get gas...and go fishing...win/win
