4 batteries in E-maxx

It all depends on whether you run the 4 batteries in series or parallel.

When I had my E-maxx I had an aluminum chassis that would take 4 cells, and it came with a wire harness. Don't remember whether it made it series or parallel though.

Just remember if you are using the stock esc that it is only rated for 14.4 volts, so don't run the packs in such a way you make them 7.2 volts * 4.

You will get a longer run time that is all.

What must guys do instead of running 4 packs is use 2 7 cell packs.
I have heard that the stock speed controller will handle them and of course more voltage equals more speed.

Hope this helps.

If you are running brushless you might get away with running 28.8 volts.

I dont want to run 4 cells at a time . I want to run 2 7 cell packs. The emaxx is usually run on 2 6 cell packs. I know the esc can handle the extra 2.4V. I just want to know how much performance will increase.

As far as I know the Novak EVX esc has 2 battery plugs, so it will be no problem. But for those who run ESC's with a single battery plug. You want to wire the batteries in series, this totals the voltage. Running them in parallel will total the mAH's.
