what mini indoor?

My wife is going to get me a mini heli for x-mas but which one. I have flown a heli twice both times a buddy's hummingbird non collective pitch. I was able to hover and land/takeoff no problem without the training gear. I will be flying in my house and in a gym. I know nothing other than the basics. On his non collective pitch you can shut the motor off prior to an impending crash which reduces damage. What do you do on collective pitch?

I'm thinking :
E flight blade
hummingbird v3
gws dragonfly

Any advice will help

Out of those three I would go with the Blade CP.

Hi hillmanr2,

I'm new with the helis and I'm hapy with my BLADE CP.

After 18 batteries I can hover outdoors without wind.

You must have pacience!!!!!!!! and some money for parts

Good luck

I'm getting the blade. To bad I have to wait for x-mas. Now apparently I also have to buy diamonds. I'll find out next month but can you shut off the motor prior to an obvious impact?
what parts go first?

If your house is average in size, then a micro is going to seem pretty big in those small spaces. You might want to consider a Hirobo XRB or the just-about-to-be-released Blade CX - both are submicro coaxials and both are RTF (XRB ~$450 CDN, CX ~$300 CDN).

A Blade CP (also RTF ~$300) would be fun at the gym. Personally, I fly my Trex (~$1000) at our indoor sessions, but it's too big for some events (740g AUW - it would do damage if it hit someone).

I'm considering a new E-sky King micro (like a Hummingbird pro with a Raptor head), but will wait for it to shake out a bit and for the parts network to develop. I'll buy it bare bones and install my own electronics (~$700).

what you mean by that? i have one remember?lmao i like them but they are touchy. if not setup proper they will do some funky things....i had to read my book several times also went to a site where i got some advice on this one...so far i am just replacing parts that should have been replaced before i got it...hopefully when i get the rest of the parts everything will run smoother...

I thought about the coaxials but they seem like allot less of a challenge. The first time I flew a heli I was able to take off under control, hover and land multiple times without training gear. You are right about flying in my house. I'm sure it will be disaster the first few time.
