While I was Edmonton last weekend I went to visit Hiflight RC. I was just gonna look around but when I saw the sign that said " ALL GWS in store 50% off " I had to get this. (along with 3 servos and a 8.4v 600 mAh cell pack) I just wish I had more money while I was in there.

Re: GWS Spitfire

I got the fuselage and control surface's glued together, but didnt like the way the canopy hatch sat. so I sanded it to fit flush at the rear and sides..

I sanded a bit in top of the cowl also to give a better fit

I went down to look at it after I read this, its just an illusion..caused by the contrast of the white and green...you had me worried.

I don't know about that. I looks bent from the above shot too. It probably won't affect it too much anyway, but I'm pretty sure it's off a little.

Re: GWS Spitfire

My buddy had one, not the greatest model. He eventually got it to fly, but the wing was too flexible, and there was too much drag for any "Spitfire" performance. Lighter radio gear may help, you don't say what the battery pack is, NiCad or NiMh. All I can say is, make sure you test fly over long grass...
