Today my buddy Nathan and I went out the club field to fly a few models. I had my trusty 4*40 on skiis, with a new OS LA 46 I was testing for Fly RC, and Nathan had his coro Whiz 40.

I did the photos while Nathan did the flying, I did get to wring out the plane/engine a bit too..

It was my first time using the new lens I bought in January, a Canon f2.8 L series 70-200mm with image stabilizer. AWESOME lens, a huge step up from the f4 70-200 I traded in. The sun came back out just as we were packing it up. The field is covered in 1 foot of slush... but it was still fun!

High winds and rain here in London today. Tomorrow looks better. Nice pics.

Well, we have had a terrific few weeks here... its like we are a month ahead of schedule in the season. However, we didnt have a lot of snow this season to begin with.

I know winter will come back

Its only MArch 13th... we have gotten big snowstorms as late as mid May.

Enjoy it while you can!

Hey, Is that a chicken stick in your back pocket? or are you just happy to get out flying.

Ha! I was going to post the one where it looks like he peed himself, but then again, my pants were soaked as well

There was 6" or water under the slush.

Taxiing was a little rough, to say the least.

And, you guys are going to love this... this engine just came off the test stand and was runnign great. At the field, first thing I discovered was I had left my battery in the plane on and it was dead. So, I grab a spare Nathan had and install it. Then, we couldnt get the darn engine to fire, for more than a few seconds. Looked liek it was having trouble drawing fuel.

AFter about 5 minutes, and some cursing, I discovered I had the muffler pressure and carb lines mixed up... DOH! Worked much better after the fuel line went to the carb

Happens to us all, doesnt it? I said doesnt thathappen to everyone?? DOH!
