Jarrod, I scored the 50cc one in Edmonton last Thursday. ($399!)
As a side note. Just left Pro R/C. He had one, EME 120 left on the shelf, and a few shipping out. (I had to fondle it!).
If your covering is loose, it must have gone from a cold truck into a warm building someware. The airframe stayes small, cool. And the covering gets a blast of hot air from inside a building.

Re: Just bought my first "Big One"

Yes I am a member at the Flying Duchmen Club. I did not fly much at all last year but I am giong to try and get out more this year. Too many irons in the fire motorcycles, cars ect. I have not purchased an engine yet. If I can find a nice used DA 100 or DL111 with cans I might go that route. If I buy new I might go cheep and try that JC 120 with a set of cheep china cans. From what I hear the JC with the new cylinders is pretty good but I am going to wait a while longer for more feedback on it before I buy one.

Re: Just bought my first "Big One"

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but Great Hobbies has a 30cc size, but it is by "GH Air". Anyone have any experience with the quality of this manufacturer? Who are they? It is almost as if "GH Air" is a Great Hobbies only line ... but they must be made by someone?

Thanks!

I understand they are Gold Wing, re-branded as "GH Air" there house brand.
I have assembled Gold Wing ARF's in diferent sizes. They fly well, assembly is O.K. I would do it again, and again.
But re-inforce the landing gear mounts before your first attempt at pulling it out, (first flight).

Hope this helps.

Re: Just bought my first "Big One"

I just noticed that Great Hobbies is listing the other 100cc Matt Hall again. It is down to $635 today. If anyone is thinking about buying one I can say it is a LOT of plane for that money.

Re: Just bought my first "Big One"

Hey Jarod, if you are getting stuff from Lorne at pro-rc.ca get him to put a 32 ounce fortitude fuel tank in your order. Once you use one you will put it in all your builds
