Hello everyone
I'm going to be buying a 30cc plane in a month or two. And I'm just wondering what I should order. I'm currently lookin at the 3dhs slick or the pilot yak. Any information on them would be awesome. Thanks everyone

Ryan

Re: Pilot or 3dhs

After owning 2 Pilot kits I would be bios for the Pilot but the 3dhs stuff is excellent also as I do have one of there kits on b/o.Pilot does give you free wooden parts to repair your kit in case of a crash .

Re: Pilot or 3dhs

Ryan, I am of the other experiance. I have a 30cc Edge by 3DHS. I have never had a Pilot ARF. But of interest, a local pilot at our club did have a Pilot 30cc Edge. We both flew together at our spring fun-fly. Mine was test flown, add 5 more flights at that event. His was really new, say 3 flights before the event. Next month I ran into him again. He had sold his Pilot Edge, and was flying a 3DHS Edge like mine.
Hope this helps.

Re: Pilot or 3dhs

I own a 71 and 51 Slicks and flown many others. I would highly recommend them. One point I would make is taken in account who designed the 3DHS Slick (Andrew Jesky). Andrew is well experienced in aircraft design and trimming and to mention he got 3rd at the last f3a worlds.

Can anyone tell me the experience and achievements of Pilot RC aircraft

Re: Pilot or 3dhs

Having had both. Pilot ARFs are slightly better built (craftsmanship) and go together a bit nicer. But the 3DHS ARFs fly way better with a standard build.

Go for Pilot for a scale sport flier. Go for 3DHS for a great flying aerobatics machine (The AJ Slick could be one of the funnest planes I have flown).

Re: Pilot or 3dhs

I can directly attest for Dales comments.

I sold my Pilot soon after flying it.
