Hi guys I have up for sale the puddle twin that I built from plans in the spring. I've flown it a few times on the water and it's a real joy to fly. It's relaxing flies more like a glider with extremely light wing loading. Takes off at one third throttle and skims on the step better than any water plane i've ever flown. And I have flown quite a few over the years. It's set up with twin brushless motors pulling a total of 13 A between them and on a 2200 3 cell battery you can get over 25 minutes of flying. You can also fly with a 3S 1000 size pack but the weight savings is truly unnecessary given the extremely light when loading. If you were looking for something to fly at the cottage on a mirror like Lake doing touch and goes and having a blast doing it this is a great craft. The wing does not come off since I have silicone on the joint but you could cut through it and pull it off should you need to.

The plans called for foam folded wings but I laser cut a balsa wing for it to get as light a wing loading as possible.

I flew it with differential throttle mixed with rudder and the water handling is incredibly manoeuvrable! As far as lazy flying floatplanes go, this is hard to beat. I've got other float planes on the bench and my flying season is over so this ones up for sale.

Comes ready to fly less battery. It has a Delta 8 receiver in it which I believe binds to all sorts of transmitters including Futaba, FrSky, Hitec etc.

Motors are SK3 2822 1020kv turning 7x6 props that glow in the dark for evening flights.

$100 is my price to cover my material cost of the parts.

Re: Puddle Twin Flying Boat

That one has a span of 59". Length is 44.
If you'll take $90 I'll come and get it tomorrow.

Kind regards,

Ken

Very nice Build! Too bad shipping isn't an option, definitely worth $100!
