I was flying my Raptor 50 Titan (converted to 10S TPPacks system) today and the CC HV85 ESC let out a puff of smoke and quit working... luckily I was hovering and just auto'd down.. no damage except for a $200ESC no working !

Upon inspection, there is a little, black, square component on the board that has delaminated (see picture).

Does anyone know the process to get warrantee replacement? (I bought it at Zebra Hobbies at Christmas 2006, so it's only 2 months old)

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi trevor,
Just send it back to CC., with proof of purchase and they will ship a new one back, Ihave had two problems one a tx and a 10 amp speed control. Both fixed no problem.

Castle has one of the best warranty, contact Castle and they will replace it for you.

I had a pair of CC's burn up while testing the beta software last summer (which was strictly software related). They sent me new CC's with a return shipping label.

Contact Castle via email at : support@castlecreations.com , attention to Bernie Wolfard.

They have the best CS in the world.

Wow... thanks for the advice. I called Castle Creations and also sent them the picture.

Without question, they put a new ESC in the mail the same day... In fact they didn't even care to see a receipt or wait for me to send them the defective ESC... now that's customer service at it's best.

As a result, I will only buy Castle Creations products from now on!
