35% Pilot Edge / DA120

I haven't had a 35% for quite some time, so decided try out a 37% Pilot Edge!!

I went with the Crown Royal scheme, since it has always caught my eye.

I'm going to put a DA120 in this plane and I'd expect weight to come in at 26-27lbs And this is one HUGE Edge... 107" span. Should be quite a floater.

A huge to Jeff at ThunderBolt R/C!!! - one stop shopping at that place now with him being a dealer for DA. I picked up some sweet Savox servos

Re: 35% Pilot Edge / DA120

A few things I'm waiting on....

1) 50mm drop headers from DA - should be here mid next week
2) A pair of Bowman rings for the 120 - next week also
3) I also ordered the following graphics package from Eric at B&E with a few mods

Re: 35% Pilot Edge / DA120

Trev, your are a one man aircraft factory. You've nearly finished two customized kits, built and flown and tuned one arf, and tested 2-3 engines, and will probably finish a second arf in the time it took me to take pieces of one arf out if the shipping box!!! Wow!!!

Re: 35% Pilot Edge / DA120

Thanks Lorne! I'm excited also!

I'm told by the "BOSS" that we're not doing anything tonight, so I hope to make some major progress on this set-up!

The most labour intensive part is setting up the firewall, and I love how they leave this step to the assembler... It allows one to get it just perfect and avoid standoffs

Re: 35% Pilot Edge / DA120

After a closer look, did that come with Aluminum hub'd wheels?

Has tony's work improved that much? , Pilot RC seems to be a plane of choice, or is it just a cost stand point or even ease of receiving standpoint?
I know that 3DHS and EF are pricey pieces and at times hard to get a decent rate on shipping etc.
thanks in advance

Re: 35% Pilot Edge / DA120

Even the 30cc pilot edge has aluminum hubbed wheels.
