Anybody have an zyx gyro system?
I recently saw a programming box for these things and was wondering if you really need one or can you set it up with your laptop just as well? If you have to have one of those programming boxes then who sells them? Couldn't find them at the Hobby King website.

You don't really need the programing box other than quick adjustments at the field. The whole set up can be done from your laptop. You can find them all over e-bay and the net.

Yes there is a program for the zyx and copter x gyros.I dont't have the zyx I have the CX version and the software is slightly different but go on RC groups and search out the zyx gyro. There is some modded versions of the software there for download.

Thanks Rock I found it hooked it up then fried my servo and elevator circuit on the zyx. So when it says don't hook up the servos they mean it. But even after all that I did get it programmed after all. When my new one arrives I should have this thing figured out.

Thats a bummer when that happens. I have have my head flying not too bad now but still a little bounce on the tail.

Yes I imagine some fine tuning will be in order. What I can see at this time looks impressive and it is easy to set up with the computer, I'm surprised it works on windows 7 which is what I have on my laptop. What size helis do you have yours on? Mine is a HK 600 in a Hughes MD500 fuse.

Just a 450 pro with a tarot head. Wicked fast cyclic,lots of fun starting to get some very nice piroflips out of it now. I have the beast X on my X5 and it is amazing,I can't imagine what the V-bar is like.
